Road Safety Week
Road Safety Weeks are organised all over the world, by different organisations, including the United Nations. Get involved!
UN-backed international Road Safety Week
During the Decade of Action for Road Safety (2011-2020) the United Nations is promoting involvement in international Road Safety Weeks, held in May. Get involved! The next international Road Safety Week is in May 2019 and the theme will shortly be announced. Go to the UN Road Safety Week website> to find out about previous Road Safety Weeks and get Road Safety Week tool kits.
Is there a regular Road Safety Week in my country?
www.roadsafetyweek.org is run by Brake to list Road Safety Weeks happening around the globe. Find out if there is a Road Safety Week in your country, or let us know about your Road Safety Week so it can be featured on the site.
Brake-organised Road Safety Weeks
Brake organises Road Safety Weeks in the UK and New Zealand (the locations of our head offices). Anyone can participate in those countries, including national and local government and enforcement agencies and grassroots organisations. Go to www.roadsafetyweek.org.uk for our Road Safety Week in the UK and go to www.roadsafetyweek.org.nz for our Road Safety Week in New Zealand.
If you are planning to set up a Road Safety Week in a different country, these sites may give you tips and ideas for your own Road Safety Week.
